An Experienced Clinical Psychologist

As a licensed clinical psychologist with more than thirty-five years of counseling experience, I can offer patients a range of effective and individualized therapeutic services. Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of diverse clinical settings, holding a broad array of professional roles; these include several academic posts, authoring a weekly column and hosting my own radio program. This varied collection of experiences, in combination with my clinical training, has had a profound effect on my development as a counseling psychologist, establishing my special interests in couples and family therapy, women’s issues and eating disorders. Furthermore, it has provided me with a rich pool of resources from which to draw upon in my daily practice.

A Counseling Psychologist with Passion

One of the first things a new patient asks about is my professional qualifications - as it should be. Licensing and educational qualifications are a critically important foundation on which to build a therapeutic relationship with a prospective counseling psychologist. But, any clinical psychologist worth his or her salt can tell you that there is more to successful counseling than official licenses and framed degrees. In a clinical setting, sensitivity, passion and innovation go a long way in establishing a trusting and beneficial relationship between patient and psychologist. I have made psychotherapy and counseling my life's work and I approach the opportunity to empower each of my patients to live happier, healthier lives with vigor and enthusiasm.
